EBSCO

Up to 100 pages of an eBook can be saved for printing or emailing per user as a PDF file from within the eBook Full Text viewer.

Note: The number of pages may vary depending on individual publisher-specified limits.

To save eBooks pages as a PDF:

  1. Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer.

  2. Go to the first page of the section of pages you would like to print and click the Save Pages in the tools menu above. The Save Pages to PDF menu is displayed.

  3. Select to include in the PDF:

    • Current Page: Save only the page you are viewing.
    • Current Page and the next XX pages: Enter the number of pages (up to 60) in the field provided.
    • This Section: Select to save the entire section or chapter of the eBook. (If available to select)
  4. Select:

    • Save PDF: To save the selected pages to your computer.
    • Send as an E-mail: To e-mail the selected pages as a PDF file to yourself.
  5. Open the saved PDF and use the Adobe Print function to print out your saved pages.

JSTOR:

You can print JSTOR articles, chapters, files, etc. after downloading the PDF file of the title. Printing is not yet available directly from the article preview.

To download and print an article PDF, take the following steps:

  1. View the web-page that has the article you want to print.
  2. Click the "Download PDF" button that appears to the top right of the article
  3. Open the file using your machine's file management system. (It will likely appear in your "downloads" folder, or similar, unless your system has been configured differently).
  4. Print the file directly from your PDF viewer by clicking Ctrl + P on a PC or Command-P on a Mac.

ProQuest:

In the PDF online reader: To select by page range, click the printer icon for “Print to PDF” found at the top right.

  • If printing/downloading-to-PDF more than the current page, determine page numbers by viewing the page number displayed by the reader at the top right.

To select by chapter, click the PDF icon for “Chapter Download”

  • If the chapter is longer than the number of pages you have left to print/download, an error will be displayed with the number of pages left. You’ll need to instead print-to-PDF a page range within your limit.
  • If the book has sections or parts, and the chapters are nested under those, the system may default to printing the entire section or part. In this case, the number of pages will likely exceed your limit, so you’ll need to enter the page range instead, or you can print individual chapters or subsections from the book's Detail page.

Note that “Chapter Download” does not offer page range download. To download a page range the “Print to PDF” option must be used. In the EPUB online reader:  To select by page range, click the printer icon for “Print to PDF” found at the bottom right.

  • If printing/downloading-to-PDF more than the current page, determine page numbers by viewing the page number displayed by the reader at the bottom right.

To download the current chapter, again click the printer icon for "Print to PDF" and choose "Current Chapter". The Chapter Download button is not available in the EPUB reader.
