Unfortunately, TAMU-CC will lose access to the EBSCO databases being cut from the TexShare program on August 31, 2023. This includes databases such as Academic Search Complete among many others. However, the recommended database alternatives are Proquest Central and Gale Academic OneFile.
The majority of our high-use journals found in Academic Search Complete will still be available, via other full-text databases and journal packages which the library already subscribes to. Many of them are also available in the Gale databases newly available through TexShare. You can find a list of new databases and alternative database recommendations in the EBSCO changes link below.
You can also check current access to a specific journal, by using the library's Journal Search or Ask Us Services. And as always, free Interlibrary Loan services can be used to acquire materials no longer in our collections.
Ask Us Services are available in person Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Voicemails, emails and texts submitted outside of these hours will be responded to on the next business day.
Ask Us Chat is available 24/7. Note: when the desk in the library is closed, chat is answered by librarians at other institutions.
We look forward to hearing from you!
